In the past, Diablo 4 announced the beloved Necromancer will complete the game's five class options at launch. Alongside the announcement an unofficial video was Diablo 4 Gold released which showcased the different weapons and armor Necromancers could acquire during their quests across Sanctuary as well as beyond Diablo 4. Blizzard recently revealed the latest information regarding Diablo 4 at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. Alongside videos of the game's gameplay, and also a release window and more, the game revealed the Necromancer class and several videos showcasing its equipment and abilities.
Like all the footage shown, the Necromancer weapons and armor display is in the process of being developed, but one can not tell from looking at it. The detailed models of the Necromancer's brutal swords, armor and bone-studded gear are enough to make any Goth proud. The amount of customization available to the Necromancer in terms of equipment and character is astounding. From armored death priests to skull-faced knights and gore-covered cultists straight from The Witcher 4. the Diablo 4 art team is evidently delivering on the Necromancer fantasy.
The Necromancer class was initially introduced to the game in Diablo 2. It wasn't initially included in Diablo 3. fan outcry over the introduction of the popular class led to it being added in a subsequent update along with the Crusader. Both classes are in Diablo 4. but it seems that the Necromancer was the only one chosen to be included in Diablo 4 at launch, though a Crusader or Paladin could be added in later Diablo 4 expansion content or DLC.
Fans are, of course, looking forward to playing the Necromancer on Diablo 4 for themselves, and the gear has added to their excitement. The Diablo 4 Necromancer appears to capture the emaciated, androgynous, and corpse-like features of the original Diablo 2 Necromancer in a manner that other versions of the game didn't. Fans love how terrifying and dark the armor sets look, and also celebrate Diablo 4 diving into the dark fantasy which makes the series engaging.
However, some fans are not so easily impressed. The controversy over the business model that is a predatory one in Diablo 4. and the revelation of the possibility that Diablo 4 will contain microtransactions some fans are worried that the coolest armor looks are locked behind those in the shop. While Diablo 4 has promised fans its cash store will be purely for cosmetics, rather than progression as in Diablo 4. its players will have to wait and discover how insane its cash shop will be when Blizzard shares more information about it, or when the beta testing starts.
