Diablo 4 will start its seasonal content in July and introduce "fresh concepts and ideas" 4x a year in the years ahead, Blizzard said in the comprehensive breakdown published Wednesday.

Within Diablo 4's seasonal structure is one thing called Season Journey, which Blizzard likens to "the North Star" inside the night sky. Basically, it'll show you what you need to caused by quickly level-up your battle pass, which may involve completing objectives and defining chapters.

All in all, Diablo 4's post-launch plans are pretty standard for just a live-service game. Not in the sense that they aren't compelling or thoughtfully designed, just within the reason that, a minimum of on paper, they are a lot like most online flash games with seasonal structures and battle passes and all of that jazz. What remains to be noticed is whether there's anything sneaky hidden inside the fine details that players will interpret, rightfully you aren't, as allowing website visitors to paying to win. The mobile Diablo Immortal caught much flack for that sort of stuff, but hopefully, the mainline installment, having its AAA sale price, will avoid everything.
